Amen! My husband is a Pastor and he can't even visit his church members who are terminally ill in the hospital to pray with them. He's also had to perform funerals for church members where the funeral attendance is limited to 5 or 10 family members or friends including the Pall Bearers. My heart grieves knowing that if my 95 year old grandmother that was hard of hearing and nearly blind was still alive that she couldn't have a family member to advocate for her at the hospital or nursing home. At their time of need, they need a family member or Pastor to advocate for their wishes. Connection with family and friends and Pastors promotes healing and hope and encouragement.

My father was admitted on 05/03/20 and my mother wasn’t allowed to visit him- advising that if she could in the event his life was in danger. On 05/14/2020, my father passed. She never saw him within that timeframe. They were married 57 years. Our prayer is that my dad knew we would have been there if we had been allowed.

I believe one person should at least be with their loved one. It's sad to think they can not hold the patient's hand or tell them they love them . Patients are scared and alone.

I AM A GRANDMOTHER AND IT WOULD MAKE ME FEEL HORRIBLE IF I WERE SICK AND HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL. THAT IS REALLY THE TIME WHEN YOU NEED YOUR CHILD OR SOMEONE TO BE WITH YOU. MATTER OF FACT IT WOULD HELP THE NURSES TO HAVE SOMEONE IN THE ROOM WITH THEM BECAUSE THEY CAN HELP TAKE CARE OF A LOT OF HER NEEDS. PLUS A PATIENT BEING HAPPY TO HAVE SOMEONE THERE WITH THEM PROMOTES HEALING. PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME THERE
