There may be cases where isolation is necessary... there are measures already in place for that. Across the board isolation for every admission is not in the best interest of the patient, the family or a community. . There's no way hospital staff can "be there" every minute to help some patients in the most basic daily functions.. among other things, in sick and weakened conditions some are left alone to drag poles, wires and bags just to try and make it to the bathroom in time because there's no one on the floor available to help.. in my personal experience, resulting in a fall that would have been prevented had a family member been allowed to stay, not to mention the x-rays and CAT scans that followed to check for internal injury ... We ask you intervene and revoke this guideline.. what's being done is inhumane .. Revoke it ..it's the Right thing to do because it's our Right to be there ..

I have known several people who had loved ones in the hospital that died. In some cases the patient was confused or not being well cared for. It's a horrible thing to suffer.

I feel strongly a person who is near death should and must be allowed the presence of loved ones in their final hours.

This is a horrible practice. My father in law is in nursing home and has given up because he can't see his family and don't understand. My brother had two surgeries alone. His wife had to stay outside in the car. Please help stop this.

This is cruel and unusual punishment for the patient who is ill.

People MUST be allowed to be present with & advocate for ill/hospitalized family members. Please insist that hospitals & other healthcare facilities allow & support this humanitarian practice.

I think it is a crime not being with a loved one or family member at this critical time. Especially a child or an elder family member. Please allow the family member with them. I know 3 in my family personally unable to be with family . a couple married 63 years so sad. Please change this rule for hospitals and nursing homes

I’m sure they were around her before she went to the hospital. So why can’t they wear a mask and go in and comfort her. I feel like the visitation to the hospital has gone a little overboard. Allow at least one family member
