Petition for Parking at the Jennie Dean Park

Clients,volunteers and staff need parking to make the food assistance successive.

Please preserve the current use of the Jennie Dean parking lot and the on-street parking on South 27th street. Safe and accessible parking is crucial to AFAC's mission to serve the needs of our community.

AFAC provides for an important unmet food need to thousands within Arlington, while linking the volunteer service and charitable donations of countless other Arlingtonians to AFAC's clients. Access to proximal parking is essential to the effectiveness of this community institution, and should be as high as any priority Arlington has when considering its traffic, parking, and even recreational needs.

I volunteer at AFAC and know the hardship our clients will face if they lose parking close to the facility.

Parking in Arlington is becoming an issue many places. We shouldn't make it harder for facilitating crucial services.

The County must have better ideas, no?

AFAC does the work for Arlingtonians who need it the most. I am a dog lover but upgrading that dog park is not as important as kids going hungry!

I volunteer in part by supervising a regular bagging event, and parking is already a struggle for the fellow volunteers I coordinate.

The Jennie Dean parking lot was one of the features that influenced AFAC to move to S Nelson St. when the 10th St. location had to be vacated. Very important part of the program.

Please take the high and compassionate road and do not further hinder those who need to access AFAC for much needed sustenance.

Please do not change the parking on 27th St S.

Why, it does not make sense

As an AFAC volunteer, I know that parking is a premium around AFAC's facility on So. Nelson. Existing parking is absolutely necessary for clients, staff and volunteers to facilitate easy access to AFAC

AFAC performs invaluable services to Arlington. The County should be doing everything in its power to support this organization. This includes providing adequate parking for volunteers, employees and clients.

AFAC serves a critical need in Arlington. Parking for clients, staff and volunteers must remain at the same level or be improved.

I am a volunteer for AFAC. We need, no we must have parking spaces for our clients, volunteers, and employees of AFAC. Presently, parking spaces are scarce around AFAC and at times it is difficult to find a "spot" . PLEASE do not take away the Jennie Dean park spaces or spaces on 27th street S.

Please leave parking for AFAC to continue its critical work in our community.
