It is so unfair that international students an out-of-state students have to pay $140 for spring break because in-state students are mostly an hour away from their houses while international students like me are one day away from my house, and a ticket back is more than thousand dollars. I don’t understand why housing department couldn’t understand this from international students point of view

Student housing should be free for international students because we still have to pay out of state tuition and it is a financial burden to go back to our home countries for such a short break. I dont understand why they are suddenly charging international students to stay during the break when it has been free in the past.

I fully support this petition. I believe that it is unfair to expect students to pay for housing during Spring Break when they have no alternative place to go. This would be an unnecessary financial burden and would create an inconvenient situation for students.
