I have finalized the formal letter addressed to the department chair detailing the feedback provided by students. This document will be delivered to the administration office along with a printout of the current petition count. We are waiting for a confirmed time to discuss Mr. Tannous's future during a meeting with the faculty board.

The current volume of support is sufficient to shift this discussion from a casual request to a formal administrative inquiry. I am now drafting the official letter for the department chair to ensure this momentum translates into a contract renewal.

Professor T is one of the BEST professors at EWC. He actually cares about the student’s well-being and teaches based on each student’s learning style. Firing him is one of the WORST mistakes EWC will ever make!
I petition for Mr. Tannous to return to Edward Waters College. On behave of Mr. Tannous he has encouraged me to educate myself through an entity like FICPA. As well as, he was my professor in Accoutning 1&2. I gained knowledge to grow within my finance career. He is the type of professor that is there when needed. I have became a different and more educated person since I met this professor.
Mr. Tannous is one of the most outrageously passionate professors I have ever come across. When he first came to EWC I was a sophomore and I took his accounting 1 class. I had no direction in life no real plan or idea on what I wanted to do and after leaving that class I knew I wanted to be an CPA. He made learning accounting fun and relatable and would work his butt off to help us with any questions we had. I was in his office faithfully going over homework assignments and readings. He did not hand you an A you worked for it, and he went the extra mile to help students really retain the information he was teaching. Plus his methods work! I made sure to take all of my accounting classes with Mr.T. With this being said I can’t stress enough how unfortunate it is for the next wave of students to not have Mr.T as their professor. I can honestly say I would not have learned what I learned taking the same class with any other professor, and that includes Dr. Ikeokwu our department chair. He has been my professor, and my mentor. I value his opinion on all financial matters. He is truely an asset to EWC, and it is a shame that they would let him go. If they let him go then they should clean house and get rid of professors who are learning as they teach. I sign this petition in hopes that he will be able to stay to really give the students what they deserve which is decorated, dedicated, and educated professor with the experience and raw passion to teach. - Kaylin

Great professor
Since Mr. Tannous became apart of the EWC family, he has pushed and motivated all of his students to want and do better. He was one of the few professors that actually cared about the students success and was there at any time of the day for us. He had really impacted my life in a positive way, and besides the business department doesn’t have enough professors as it is to be letting anyone go. First Betton leaves and then this. #whereisthemoneygoing
He is a great and well qualified teacher who actually creates a learning environment where students actually learn and are engaging in

Dr. Tannous , is an phenomenal professor who take the time out to meet the students needs where they are he truly cares about his students and the learning environment for them he is truly a teacher centered Professor. We need more professors like him at this institution.
