ASL to ISU

I am looking forward to start studying ASL next semester! Deaf culture and the deaf community is so underrepresented in our society and I believe it would be an disservice to our community not to provide this as a minor.

I would of loved to have had the opportunity to make this one of my minors when I took the classes in 2013!

Of course this needs to be....

My great-grandmother taught at a school for the deaf so I've always wanted to learn ASL. But since it wasn't offered as a minor, I was steered toward another language offered at ISU.

Wish this was available when I was a student.

ASL should be a minor at ISU.

I would love if ASL became a minor at Iowa State! It is an important language for people to learn.

I am deaf and would love to see more ASL in colleges and universities as foreign language. We need more interpreters!
