American Sign Language is such a valuable language, not only due to the many opportunities it can provide, but also by giving access to the amazing culture and community that comes along with it.

As an ISU alumni, it makes me very happy to see us getting closer to establishing a minor for a language and culture that has greatly shaped not only my time at ISU but my perspective on life!

I am not a student at ISU however, I have 2 young kids who may some day be. I believe this is an excellent program and one I would like my children to have the opportunity to be involved in their future.

ASL is a beautiful language and has a culture all of its own. It should definitely be considered as a language to get a minor in!
