Adding more cultural courses to the ASL classes helps students understand the Deaf Iowan community and beyond. This would be great for Iowa State University.

ISU and Iowa as a state are leaders. Please include this program as a minor.

Sign Language should be taught as a second language in ALL colleges across our country.

Schools in Iowa are in desperate need of sign language interpreters. Please help meet this need.

I was planning on getting my minor in asl but isu doesn't have one

I took almost all of the ASL offerings at ISU from 2013-2015. By establishing a minor the University embraces another cultural minority and encourages more diversity in our community.

How is this not a thing?

I'm graduating at the end of the semester so I wouldn't be able to do this. But I would have taken the ASL classes if I could have made it a minor. I hope future students could have that opportunity.
