I am sending an email to many of Umeå University's higher ups to try to present the issue of having a live exam in the middle of a pandemic. This will specifically be for the Basic Molecular Genetics, but will also raise the issue for other courses. Please sign for our safety!
Here in San Diego higher education is on line which is SAFER. I am definitely signing.

Look up the issues San Diego State University had earlier in 2020. Be smarter.
50+ people in one room for a test period adds undue stress and fear to the test takers - and of course significantly increases potential COVID transmission/exposure risk.
The newest COVID mutations increase potential rate of infection. As the world locks down to deal with the winter/holiday illness spikes, I am baffled by university requirements for in person group testing. Technology exists to allow for at-home testing. Phased small group testing options also exist for those that opt for in person testing (although I feel for that proctor).

I’m a risk group and I told Yuri to make the exam online but he refused, I hope this petition makes a change.

I understand that an online exam won't satisfy legal certainty and demands for quality of a basic course but if we can't be divided into small groups on exam day, I'm not comfortable taking it on campus.
