Vitamin D has changed my life but I recently read an article that suggested I still wasn't getting enough. I've struggled with depression all my life and Vitamin D supplements have been the most powerful weapon I've had for battling it. Since reading the article in the Calgary paper last week I've upped my dosage from 5,000 to 12,000 mgs per day, although I still have no idea what the PROPER dose for me is. It's all a guessing game.

I studied Nursing for 4 years, worked as a Nurse for 7 years and it was only Pure North who figured out that my Vitamin D3 was half low and I was deficient in Fish Oil too. I strongly believe that RDA for Vitamin D3 should be increased and this is what me and my family take at home high dose of Vitamin D3.

Recently the news was all about how people who support the multi billion dollar vitamin industry are doing little more than producing expensive urine. There are few positive outcomes (if any) to/a healthy person taking vitamins, and significant potential harms. Said harms are not limited to but include the wasting of scarce resources. Yet this so called "non-profit" wants us to start taking MORE vitamins, not less. Then they frame this as a "justice" issue. I don't trust these characters for a second. Do your selves a favour, and get your medical advice from your doctor, and not newspaper advertisments or the internet. Or better yet, go outside and take a walk in the sunshine. It is free, and will provide all the vitamin D you need. Robust good health does not come from a bottle.
