Ridiculously low recommendation. I live in Ireland, with a latitude the same as southern Canada and I had to take 10,000 units a day to get my test up to the minimum level. 600 units might be okay for people who can afford to take two sunshine holidays a year.

I take 5,000 iu of vitamin D a day in order to support my hea. The value of vitamin D needs to be given wider recognitionlth and avoid winter depression

This is definitely not enough Vitamin D for health as it helps the immune system and many other functions.

From experience, such low doses won't ever raise the level high enough

Please recognise that such acts of public policy are in need of regular reassessment and increase the RDA for Vitamin D.

Sad to see that a defective study is being used as a base for this ridiculous legislation - ?Big Pharma inspired?

This is why government restrictions on dosages are bad for the public because one size does not fit all-especially when the number crunchers get it wrong.

Needs evaluating again, current levels of Vit. D are not near enough.
