In the civilized society it is honest to correct a drastic error which can cause a serious health damage

This goes against all the trends that are indicating the importance of high levels of Vit D.

You say that body is independent of the government but the panel that made the recommendations had individuals who were not independent of pharmaceutical companies so there was a conflict of interest. An independent panel would have looked at all of the peer-reviewed literature, not just articles specific to bone health.

I am shocked that the IOM and Health Canada would be so narrow minded to not consider re-evaluating the vitamin D levels for our northern country. I guess it's alright with them to have more and more Canadians diagnosed with diseases that could have easily been preventable with proper vitamin levels. Maybe it's because they don't have to pay for someone's pain and suffering!!

You know 40 years ago Dr. Spock advocated taking 10,000 iu daily. We were alot healthier back then but I see the pharma cartel is still LYING to all of you. Is there no one in this dept. that can theink for themselves? Is there some reason why Health Canada is hell bent on keeping all of us sick. For crying out loud start doing the right thing and clear up this vitamin d3 mess and start advocating for more natural health. You want to lower sickness, then get off the pharma cartel band wagon.

Accurate RDA would go SO FAR toward eradicating chronic disease--for pennies a day (with essentially NO RISK!)! PLEASE reconsider your recommendations!
