it's about time. And Health Canada really needs to be disbanded. Since it's inception we have gotten more ill, more disabled, more disempowered and good scientists have been suppressed.

This is a major public health problem that is not being addressed.

Re-evaluate the RDA for Vit. D, and thus avoid the many illnesses caused by deficiency. Vit. D is a hormone not a vitamin.

I have been supplementing with Vit D for 4 years now and testing my blood levels twice yearly. The dose of Vit D I take began at 2000 IU per day but now I take 5,000 I U and 10,000 IU on alternate days. This get my blood levels to between 46 and 52 ng./ml

Please re-evaluate the research on Vitamin D guidelines. The RDA is clearly not high enough!

I agree that the valuation 200mg is far to low and that raising the amount would be more helpful in many area's of our health

Ridiculously low recommendation. I live in Ireland, with a latitude the same as southern Canada and I had to take 10,000 units a day to get my test up to the minimum level. 600 units might be okay for people who can afford to take two sunshine holidays a year.
