Vitamin D is needed by every cell for metabolism and maintenance. The level in the serum must be enough to provide enough 25OH Vitamin D for every cell for proper growth and development. The documented best level is at least 40 ng/mL. Please reconsider your first decision and re-evaluate the vitamin D guidelines.

Vitamin D deficiency is so prevalent that the CMA is encouraging physicians not to order tests to test for deficiency anymore. Obviously this is a prevalent problem and guidelines need to be changed.

Please increase the recommended daily requirement and allow the 10,000 iu's to be so,d in Canada! We buy ours from the USA for that reason alone!
