Am over the coverups, conspiracies & kickbacks. Shouldn't the emphasis for medicine & research be about saving lives not patented big $$ synthesised pharmaceuticals? If a core vitamin, mineral or nutrient heals then why can't we know about it and have the choice to use it.

Anyone with gut disorders or bone loss should have their Vitamin D level tested!

It shouldn't be just about getting enough vitamin D so you don't get rickets, it should be about how much vitamin D does a person need to prevent disease and achieve optimal health.

I support this effort vigorously. I am an American whose doctor has prescribed 50,000/week and added 2000/day. My D was pretty low before and now is around 40. Additionally, In his book "Effortless Healing", Dr. Joseph Mercola recommends that vitamin k2 be supplemented concurrently with vit D suppl. Reason: excess vit D in the circulatory system may cause arteries and soft tissue to harden, and K2 assists in moving the D into bones and teeth where it is also needed. Go Canada!

I support policies for the maintenance of optimal health and prevention of disease. The RDA for vitamin D needs to be re-evaluated by the IOM and Health Canada.

My doctor is recommending 5,000 IU/day. Some say more. We need D to prevent MS as well.

It's criminal to allow the under estimate to stand another day. A lawsuit should be instituted.!
