My mother’s health has drastically deteriorated during the Covid lockdown in her assisted living facility. Please change the rulings on no visitors before we kill our elderly loved ones with isolation!

The elderly generation need to see their families. Their family give them hope. I think proper safety guidelines could be provided so our elderly loved ones can be hugged!

As an orthopedic nurse, have seen increased falls directly related to lack of family support with subsequent surgeries which again no relatives or visitors allowed. These patients are losing their will to live. I agree, something must be done!!

These seniors need to see their family. When families are able to visit they are making sure they are being taken care of and not neglected.

Our Seniors deserve better! They need to see their families! Their mental health is at stake. Please allow these wonderful people to have time with their loved ones. Imagine if you were locked away in your final days without the ability to see your children, to touch their face, and tell them you love them.

I haven't seen my 80 year old mother since this crap started except through her window, front door or when the nurses duo call me to talk to her. She needs her children and we need to touch her...

Both of my grandparents are in assisted living facilities and both have declined physically and mentally since we have not been able to see them during these difficult times.

Most of these people rely of there families and friends to hold these facilities accountable for the care or the lake of care they provide. I am a hospital social worker that has definitely seen an increase in was seems to be neglected residents since April and i would have to assume it is due to the inability to see loved ones. Please consider allowing family and/or friends to start to reenter our senior care facilities. Or start having the start be directly responsible for the lake of support, abuse, and neglect of these seniors!

The sadness is beyond words! No FaceTime call, window visit, care package, card or regular phone call can take the place of a face to face with the people the mean the most to our seniors!
It CAN be done safely and they deserve it!

I have one Grandmother that none of the family has been able to see in person and she is so confused/ lonely based on the times her caregivers have tried to call or FaceTime family members.
My other Grandmother has been super sick and my mom has not been allowed to go in and check on her to see what all she needs. She can not hear well and thinks we have all abandoned her. She thinks it is just the ladies at her place keeping her locked in. My mom got her care facility to call an ambulance for the second time and the hospital final got her checked out to find several of her levels were way off. She has been in ICU receiving fluids if my mom had not insisted then she probably would be gone because they were calling in hospice and my grandmother would have given up with no family.

I haven't seen my 96 year old Dad since March 17th! It is breaking my heart and that of my family for us to not be able to visit. I visited 2-3 times a week before all this less. We lost our Mother in April 2019 so he is the world to us! The separation is hard on the residents mentally and socially at this stage in life to not be allowed to visit with family. The reality is we don't know how much time they have left and want to visit with them on a regular basis! My Dad is a WWII veteran and fought for our country and the preservation of freedom only to be locked down by the government!

The mental well-being of our elderly population has to be matter just as much as their physical well being. They need to see their families and loved ones.
