Yes we need to protect our high-risk patients from COVID, but the emotional and psychosocial ramifications of long-term stays without access to the hug of a loved one is showing in increases in depression, anxiety and even life-span.

Y'all are killing my mother she has dementia and can't hear. She doesn't understand and is losing all hope. She thinks we abandoned her. Sad.

Our loved ones are wasting away and thinking that we do not care about them because we can't see them. This needs to stop. You have to sometimes consider quality of life over quantity. This is one of those times. Put safety measures in place and let us see our loved ones.

My mom is stage 6 Alzheimers and is in a nursing home in Tyler. New guidelines need to be created for us to visit our loved ones!!

My grandfathers mental health will suffer if he has to continue with no visitors. They need their families to check up on them. They need outside eyes and a voice.

My grandmother is currently the hospital after a fall. Two other residents of the assisted living facility were also admitted to the hospital. These older people are depressed from not being able to see family and their health is sharply declining because of it.

I agree with many, something has got to be dome for these sweet Residents, huge smiles to sad, loneliness. We need to work together to help these senior Citizens have freedom to see their loved ones. Thank You JESUS, we pray for these folks hurting to see their loved ones.
