This service makes not only a valuable contribution to the quality of life of its users, but an essential contribution. Access to Public Transport for all is a right, not a bonus depending on the lottery of where you live.
For anyone who wants to work in rural Ireland transport can be a huge barrier. Employment should be a realistic option for all members of society.
Spending money on transport now keeps people independent and living in their own homes thus saving on residential services in the future.
Sick & Disabled People are treated like third class citizens in our country now, it has never been worse, any one of us or a loved one could end up in this position at any time & need essential basic services to have any level of quality or life or even to get to essential medical appointments.
This is heart breaking, so many will be left at home, who depended on us to take them where they needed to go.

My Mom had MS 27 yrs. it's hard enough coping with being unable to do things for yourself & having to rely on others. Transport is essential to people stuck at home!
