PETITION FOR FREEDOM AND JUSTICE FOR THE VIRGIN ISLANDS THREE

This petition is an appeal of CONCERNED VIRGIN ISLANDERS on behalf of WARREN BALLANTINE, BEAUMONT GEREAU, AND MERAL SMITH, who are all scheduled for a HEARING before the PAROLE BOARD.
These are three NATIVE VIRGIN ISLANDERS who were FALSELY ACCUSED, TORTURED, and TRIED under QUESTIONABLE legal circumstances. By refusing to admit ANY EVIDENCE of TORTURE by the local police, the federal judge IGNORED the numerous violations of the defendants' CONSTITUTIONAL rights, and allowed the trial to proceed anyway.
After a lengthy jury deliberation (during which, several JURORS were INTIMIDATED by LAW ENFORCEMENT into voting GUILTY), all three DEFENDANTS were CONVICTED and SENTENCED to LIFE.
Three VIRGIN ISLANDERS have been imprisoned for over HALF A CENTURY. They are scheduled for a HEARING BEFORE THE PAROLE BOARD.
WARREN BALANTINE has been diagnosed with PROSTATE CANCER, and is suffering in a HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT without ADEQUATE MEDICAL ATTENTION, and is in desperate need of relief.
BEAUMONT GEREAU is losing his vision and is also in URGENT NEED of adequate medical attention.
MERAL SMITH has been suffering from loss of memory, and there is suspicion that he may be in the beginning stages of DEMENTIA.
All three NATIVE VIRGIN ISLANDERS are over SEVENTY years of age, and there is a growing concern for their HEALTH, and WELL-BEING. WE THE PEOPLE OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS, are appealing to the VIRGIN ISLANDS PAROLE BOARD and GOVERNOR ALBERT BRYAN, JR. to exercise their LEGAL OPTIONS and take the NECESSARY MEASURES to afford these three incarcerated VIRGIN ISLANDERS the RELIEF they so urgently need. Upon release, their relatives and loved ones can then assume the responsibility of providing them with the HUMANITARIAN ATTENTION they are so DESPERATELY in need of.
