This petition is to show support for our local Forsyth County School Board, Superintendent and Principals for a taking a common sense leadership position in regards to mandating mask use. Masks have not been proven to be effective against the COVID-19 virus and are not designed for prolonged use. In fact, they will eventually harm the bodies natural defenses by weakening the immune systems of the persons wearing the masks.
Please sign this petition and help to keep our local school district from imposing mandates that are overreaching. There is strength in numbers, let's not be the silent majority.

No mandatory masks. A piece of cloth over the face won’t stop the virus. My children can’t breath freely. Let our children build up their immunity naturally. Let kids be kids and go to schools as normally as possible.
Please leave masks as voluntary. Many parents have already made their decisions on virtual or in school based on the guidelines that have been approved by the BOE.
My daughter will not be going to school if she is required to wear a mask all day. That’s too long to be wearing one with no breaks. She can barely breath in them as is.
As a retired teacher of 35 years, I can tell you that wearing masks will destroy education. There will be fights, loss of instruction time as teachers attempt to regulate mask wearing, increased germs as students will touch their masks constantly and how will students/teachers understand each other through a mask. Insane and I hope you don't mandate masks as it will be bad enough. Thankful that I am retired.
It should be optional. What about the students who have asthma, or special needs, and can’t wear a mask!
I do not want my child to wear a mask at school. He needs to keep his immune system strong by being exposed to viruses and bacteria. Herd immunity.

Each child is different. Each family circumstance is too! We have the right to select what we think is best for personal situation. Yes, happy to sign!
