Petition for formal investigation of Officer Marc Lofton, Statham, GA Police Department
We, the undersigned, petition District Attorney, Brad Smith, to complete a formal criminal investigation of wrongful actions taken by officer Marc Lofton, of the Statham, GA police department.
The allegations include: False swearing, perjury, harassment, falsification of information on police reports, manufacturing evidence, unjustified use of taser, violations of his oath, intentional over-charging on arrest reports to secure plea deals of a lesser charge, lying on his own employment application with Statham PD, false imprisonment, violations of civil rights such as free speech, mishandling of evidence including drugs which he claims to have found during search, improper administration of sobriety tests to justify arrest.

The volume of support has secured a meeting with the District Attorney office later this week. I am currently preparing the formal evidence binder to ensure every allegation is addressed in detail.

This officer does not need to have this power. He tries making women feel inferior to him. With this badge he succeeds. Please stop him before someone is really hurt.
A friend of mine was falsely arrested by Ofc Lofton and I whole heartedly agree that he needs to be investigated! Officers like Lofton are what give police officers a bad name!
I have paid at least 6 fines for nothing in the last year , one for blowing the horn, I can't avoid Statham I live here, but might not much longer, something needs to be done about the Statham police dept. they have took over !! David Slayton
My friend was falsely arrested for DUI-drugs--she was completely sober and the video and drug test shows that. He is ruining lives like it is a game.
i was falsely arrested by marc lofton for dui drugs less safe for taking my prescription medication. marc lofton lies repeatedly in his police report as evidenced by the dashcam and bodycam videos. lofton fabricates evidence and is all too willing to arrest people he knows are innocent. he needs to be FIRED

One of my first, if not the first post that I posted was for you to be able to express your opinion. Then I get attacked personally by you, who I don't even know. Then I get my name slandered with lies from Mrs. Matthews who has serious mental health issues. Because my opinion of the situation differed from yours/hers I get ruthlessly bombarded with insults that are not even true. It was so childish that I could almost not believe my eyes. Some of the comments were absolute slander in the eyes

He arrested me on 2 different occasions breaking my wrist each time. This last time he profiled me for 7 months then stop me lving work I had to spend enormous amount of money I didn't have just to prove him wrong and I even lost my job cause of him. He don't need to be a police office he needs to go to hell with the devil
