We, the student body of Auburn High School in Auburn, Alabama, petition the principal, Dr. Todd Freeman, to allow the senior classes of 2013 and 2014 to exempt final exams if students meet requirements of no more than three excused or unexcused absences and an A in the class. The new exemption policy should be grandfathered in because a policy shouldn’t be changed for a class that was under assumptions that the old policy would still be enacted. The new policy changes expectations for students’ senior years and decision making for class schedules.
