This is frankly pathetic. Modern households do not bother with SD content, especially SPORTS, which was the principal reason we upgraded to GD in the first place! Get your act together DISH. If you're going to offer the freaking LHN at all, it's gotta be in HD. All of it!

I've been a Dish Customer for over 10 years and it disgusts me that Dish will run LHN HD programming in SD. I will switch to Direct TV as soon as they get LHN because of this disgust.

This is a shame to have a university like the Univ. of Texas and not transmit a telecast on regular instead of HD.

The day of the Texas-North Texas game a Dish rep assured me the game would in HD on the HD 407 channel so I set my dvr for that time so I could start the game later. Missed most of the game.

Lesser channels are in HD. There is no reason for LHN to not be HD. Then you tell us that games will be in HD and the first game of the season isn't.

It's 2014. HD should be the standard at this point. I work in TV and know for a fact that practically it doesn't take any more bandwidth than SD. If you can carry the shopping channels or Oprah channel in HD, you can carry LHN in HD too.
