It’s Ridiculous it already cost $100 every month to live in Ammon no reason the water should be that expensive

The water rates are exorbitant! They are putting residents at risk of not being able to afford to live in Ammon. As a single mom, I don't know how I'll manage.

A senior citizen on a fixed income there is no way to keep up with this water bill. I moved here because it was a reasonable place to live in and a very nice community. Not only have the taxes have gone up. now to charge for the water. You need to rethink its water especially for the Citizens you know we are on a fixed income and we have big lots are you expecting us to move out?

Ridiculous to have to pay that much for water. Bills going from $40 to nearly $300?? Middle income families let alone Young struggling families can’t afford this.

I sat in almost all the meeting, and most information was changed and nothing was the same.water rates was changed THREE different times..Everyone should be metered at the same time.

Even if it went up 16 or 17 dollars a month that's a 33% increase which is ridiculous.

The City of Ammon’s website says, “Where Tomorrow Begins.” I understand the need to plan for the future by upgrading and maintaining necessary services for the citizens of Ammon. When the city council approved these high rates, they failed to understand the human element, the huge financial burden it places on the citizens of Ammon. With the new water rates, I’m sure we will have more than enough money for future needs, but the negative consequences to the citizens and the beauty of the city may far outweigh “Where Tomorrow Begins.” All the comments posted on this petition is confirmation that there needs to be a serious discussion about compromising to find a better solution for the needs of the city as well as the needs of the residence. Perhaps we should slow down the growth of the city until a better solution can be found.

My water bill is close to $100 and my lawn is still brown. I'm just trying to keep it alive. I understand the need to cover costs and plan for the future. But this is out of hand. I will be at the next council meeting.

Re-do your thinking on the excessive charged on our water bill. This is just stupidity!!! We live on the largest aquifer in the country.

This is absurd! The gal. Usage at the beginning never made any sense way to large for our lot. We don't want to let the lawn burn up just more money lost. This is dishonest. If the city of Ammon has any integrity left ,they will fix this.

I would like to read the minutes of the meetings where it was decided to make the cast of water increases. Yes, water is precious and waste needs to be discouraged but I feel strongly that these high rates are way out of line and we need to know how and why this all came about.

The water-per-month allotment is absolutely rediculous. 7k gallons for a half acre lot is no where even close to what I use. I get the same usage as that if a lot with .2 acres. I understand the need to regulate water, however there needs to be a better application to water amounts and lot size variation.

Just another way to take our money. Nothing to do about water conservation.
