Ridiculous and very poor city management. Obviously this was a means to increase city revenue through deception.

Our bill has tripled under the new rates. This is ridiculous. I’m even hearing people are now avoiding buying houses in areas with Ammon Water.

The mayors letter today is nothing but five pages of "words", trying to justify the horrible decisions which the City of Ammon made. There is no empathy or compassion for the place the city put all of us in. His "words of justification" changes nothing, and it's clear they have no intentions of making things right. We still won't be able to afford to water our lawns, trees, ect. There are many many of us who simply can not afford the ridiculous water rate increases. Yes, I agree probably all of us needed to stop wasting water. However, in my household, it's just me. I only run my dishwasher once a week, take short showers....ect, ect. But my bill last month was $143.00!!! My only source of income is Social Security. So, unfortunately the City of Ammon has forced me to choose between food or watering my lawn. My lawn will remain to be brown......disgusting!

The cost of water in Ammon is quite ridiculous and I think it should be a lot less just like it was before.

Today we received a notice with our statement that the water proclamation is no longer in effect. Scheduled watering days are no longer being enforced because such schedules were preventing optimal water conservation suggested by smart water sprinkler systems. What they really mean is that they want you to water all you want anytime you want because they aren't seeing the profits they anticipated.

I have 17 fruit trees on my property and worked real hard on my yard. Know the water is so expensive. Not far the water should not be so expensive. Water should be free cens it comes from the sky the city does not make it.

It's hard to believe that it's necessary to charge Ammon residents monthly water fees that amount to an extra $60 + dollars a month (on top of a base rate of $30). At $30 per household that amounts to about $135,00 per month (approximately 4500 households time $30) and then the additional fees come in at close to twice that amount. Conservatively the city would be bringing in about $300,000 a month to provide water to it's residents. What?!! Our two-retired-persons household needs a break!

Our rates have more than doubled. It’s sad to see so many lawns turning brown because people can’t afford to water. This definitely needs to be addressed and changed.

My bill has tripled since I moved in last year in April... this asinine, how are residents suppose to pay their other bills or put food on the table. My water bill was $75 last month and $39 this month. When it averaged no more than $24 last year. The difference is a few days worth of groceries at my household. It’s theft, and seeing the article that the people in charge could care less makes me even more angry.

The cost of water needs to be addressed. The cost of water shouldn’t be so high in a rural community like Ammon, ID.
