I understand charging for water but this is ridiculous. We are a family of 3 and our bill is $160. We turn the water off when brushing our teeth. We do not waste and our bill is super high.

How does Idaho Falls get away with unlimited water usage at no additional cost and we are paying per gallon? How does the supposed water shortage only affect Ammon and not Idaho Falls? Also how crazy to give out watering tickets when it is impossible to find out when your "scheduled time is to water"!!! If I am paying per gallon I should be able to water whenever I feel like it!

It really saddens me to see our neighborhood with dead dry lawns. This use to be a really beautiful place to live.

Our water bill has tripled to approx $150 a month and we are being forced to relandscape our yard to remove grass. While I fully support water conservation, this price is ridiculous as I already try to conserve as much water as possible. I don’t spray down my driveway like many people do. I only water 3 times a week and at night to avoid evaporation.

The cast of water is absolutely ridiculous I'm thankful I moved out of Ammon but I have a lot of family that is affected by this. This is taking a big chunk of Medicare checks just to have water

Felt like a bait and switch routine to me. Ammon showed us last year what our water bill COULD be using the original formula of 7,000 gallons in base rate. Then they completely switched the formula in their favor for more $$$'s, overrode public comment at public meetings about keeping the old formula, and now here we are paying much more for our water than what the initial model showed last year. Outrageous!

One month my bill was $50 the next was $40. From what ive read the overage for water usage is $1 for every 10,000 gallons used. So if i have used 200,000 gallons of water over my minimum charge. My yard would look like the amazon. I cant keep my grass green if i had to. There is no way my family of 6 has used 200,000 gallons of water to shower, cook, or whatever else. We sit on a giant aquifer in east Idaho we shouldnt have issues of running out of water. Im paying for someone to sit on thier ass to say when i can or cannot water my yard. I live in a great community and this is the one topic that pisses me off. Im standing against the metered water and want the city to remove them immediately.

My water bill has doubled. I’m single live alone in a 1200 sq ft home in a residential area. One load laundry weekly, run dishwasher once every two weeks. There is no excuse for this excessive rate. The article says they did a “test” of this billing on residents. Who? I wasn’t included. My son has a 2800 sq ft house on almost 3/4 acre with four people, and my bill is easily a third higher than his, if not more. My sprinklers run every three days for 1 hour. There is no way I use that much water. I called and requested they check the operation of my meter over two months ago. They never came. I also requested a daily water usage printout. Never got that either.
