My water bill went up over 400%. That is wrong. After cutting my watering back to a spotted green and brown yard I’ve still more than doubled my water bill. Crappy yards diminishes our property values.

I got called on the carpet about my yard because I haven't watered very well. Can't hardly pay my bill on a fixed income.

The issue here is that Mayor Coletti and the Ammon representatives promised one thing and delivered another. I am sure that the people being charged the equivalent of a car payment would like to see the accountability of where the money is going and the justification for this outrageous fee. The high density housing is also an issue bringing down property values. What person wants to buy a nice house in an area that has zoning that allows this? Mayor Coletti show us the money. Also no charge on meter until all have meters. How do we know favoritism is not happening?

I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and now will be required to pay more for water each month. What I don’t understand is how the City of Ammon can allow a close to 300 unit apartment complex to be built on First Street with a swimming pool and large hot tub when we are supposed to be saving water? The Residences at First Street also include Water, Sewer and Trash in their rents, how is this encouraging conservation? Also, dozens of more apartments are being built at the corner of Trailwood & Chasewood in an area already full of multi-family residences. These are just the high-occupancy dwellings I have watched being built in my own neighborhood, I have no idea how many more are going up throughout the City of Ammon. I would like someone to explain to me how greater population means less water use.

I don't understand this. We are using less water than normal, our lawns are not as nice and green as they usually are, and we are paying more. Doesn't Idaho have plenty of water? This is giving Ammon a bad name. A change needs to be made.

You will be recalled. Mr. Mayor of Ammon. Your letter to us does not cover the over reach of you not taking care of the city of Ammon. All the way from Midway taking extra long for your lack of getting the right people involved. 1st Street hitting bumps all the way down with the new construction for the apartments. Your shoving more school bonds down our throats. More taxes... This city is not the city that I will stay in. And yes we need to recall your job and the rest of the council. So yes you are not working for us.

$100/month is ridiculous with an auto sprinkler system running 3 times/week.
Water rates in AMMON are far too high!

Agreed. Bring the rates down. Too expensive for us living paycheck to paycheck. Ammon claims metering needed, yet Idaho Falls has no metering. Looks like officials just finding a way to tax without representation.

Only fools think of having a home on top of an old sandpit farm field without any trees and figure their water usage will be low.
