Our watering days have been reduced to only three days we can water. Why are we also being charged high prices?? Ridiculous. Many yellow yards around Ammon.

Our water bill shot up to well over $150 a month. We are on a fixed income and this has been extremely difficult for us.

I'm not sure what the goal of water metering is, that was very unclear. I read something along the lines of "it is important to conserve". If we had true drout conditions that would be relevant, however when we are told to conserve but the local park is watered every day, it seems somewhat hypocritical, especially when the bill keeps going up. Perhaps the only goal is to raise the City's revenues without bothering to raise a tax levy.

Have you noticed all the ugly dry yards in Ammon? First they took our water rights. Then there's bad drainage so we deal with a ton of water from neighbors. We move the snow and we're charged for water? Seriously? And why is the Vista neighborhood excluded from water rates? Water money should go for only water improvement. Bogus!

For those of us with meters, I don't remember being advised of what the base usage was going to be nor what the rate for overages would be.

Ammon should do what other cities around here do & have a summer & winter water rate. It would allow people to budget & not worry about the unknown. Our bill has tripled this summer.

Cheaper water and just get rid of the metering system in general it's a waste of money when money could be used for wiser things like the roads in the winter time

Original information allowed 30000 gallons per month with $1.00 increase for each 1000 gallons. This is not the case on my bill.

My husband & I are avoiding moving into the area based off of the uncertainty of this really. We just don’t want the hassle of a giant mystery bill all the time along with a yellow lawn. Hearing stories of what some people are being charged without much of an explanation is concerning. I hope it gets cleared up soon so that folks we know don’t need to worry either. I Understand growth usually has growing pains but this did seem misrepresented regarding what it’s citizens could expect.
