My bill has gone way up even for the winter months when I wasn’t watering my lawn. This needs to be looked at.

I find it so sad reading the comments and hearing that people can’t afford to pay that much for water. It feels like exploitation of a basic need

My neighbor’s lawns are brown and full of weeds and I am spending not only, high water bills but I am paying to have my lawn sprayed due to neighborhood weed seeds blowing through. Also it is not fair for non-metered neighbors to waste water as a spiteful gesture to the city because they are on a flat rate.

I have been upset over this since they upped my rates when I bought my townhome. $60 to $100.00 to whatever water usage. No free water in the city of Ammon. Stay away from buying a home on the city of Ammon. All the lawns are drying up because no one wants to water their lawns. Also first Street. Fix the apartments that were built last year. One side your hitting bumps all the way down. The city of Ammon doesn't know how to take care of the city. Also news reported budgets are out of control in 2020. Fix John Adams to the other John Adams on hit from tiebreaker. I will be moving soon. Ammon sucks

My water bill last month was $187.00 more than my normal bill. Total was $287.00. What is even worse, most of my neighbors are not having to pay an outrageous amount and my not have their meter for up to 4 years! We are on a fixed income. How do they expect us to keep out 1.4 acres up at this unfair cost!

I pay more than California. Arizona combined. Time for new mayor

I believe rates are too high, water meters are ok to track usage only. I believe the city council members did not represent their constituents and citizens of Ammon in this matter.

The water rates are outrageous, and not the increase that was stated.

They don't even take flood irrigation into account

I live in Ammon. I love Ammon. I don't want to sell and move. But if Water Rates rise to much. I will be forced to go.

I own 5/8 acre in Ammon, have a very large back yard that I cannot afford to water! Am a retired teacher and my water bill was prohibitive! City of Ammon made me pay for a water meter years ago, with no "landscaping" offered when it was installed....my front yard has never been the same! I'm angry, they said then that I might see a $5/month increase when metering began....what a lie!

They did not make it very public when they decided to not apply any of the 30.00 base rate to water usage in new plan. During the trial it showed use with the base rate included to estimate your future bill

Our water bills are more than our electric bills

I have never paid this much ever for water. Some people have water bills almost as high as some house payments.

My bill has tripled! During the study it was only approx 20.00 more. We are paying the original $30.00 per month for No water or service

If I understand right, all funds collected for water fees are to stay in a pool just for water. Are our costs here in the City of Ammon this high? We will soon be living in "Brown Town." I see the other few neighbors on my street that have meters in place...they are choosing to let portions of their lawn simply die. I doubt this is the intent of our city leaders.

The rates have gone through the roof and my lawn is dying because of it. So I either pay $140 a month to have green grass, or it burns up and I still pay $85. The city of Idaho Falls has a flat fee for water. Whose pockets are getting lined exactly with this rate hike?

It is my understanding that all fees collected by the water portion of our bill must go to the water department. In a news release, City of Ammon Mayor and City Council indicated that this would generate 5 million dollars annually? I can see it going for fixing pipes and pumps in the city for a couple of years. My section of town is very rundown and needs some attention badly. But I wonder, after the fixes. What is 5 million a year going to pay for in the WATER Department? I think the council and mayor got blinded by the dollar signs, but by law....this windfall ALL has to go to water department. Hmmmm

The water metering is outrageous!
