The water prices are extremly high and the billing makes no sense. Very inconsistent. We live on an aquifer, water should not be metered. You will lose the beauty of the city due to dying lawns because by controlling when one can water and controlling how much can be used for an affordable price.

These rates are ridiculous. Falls water doesnt charge half as much. Ammon needs to help residents. They r charging more and doing less such as snow removal in cultasscs stopping. Highly disappointed.

We moved to ammon in April. Our utility bill has not been under $150 and we dont even have our sprinkler system installed.

Hopefully a middle ground can be found between the city's desire for water conservation and the communities desire to avoid dead lawns.

The increase is insane. How can the city justify such an enormous jump in water costs. All the dead yards can’t be good for our city.

This rate hike is outrageous.. My bill has gone up $150. Even with me cutting back on my usage. I guess I will turn my sprinklers off like so many of my neighbors. #beautifulbrownlawns #exitammon

We and our neighbors have seen a dramatic increase in our monthly rates. This smells a hidden tax hike for the city and not based on actual water system financials. I challenge the city to open their books and show us the costs.

I agree. I have also noticed people in the neighborhood watering when it is not their day.

Affordable taxes and utilities were a top consideration when we desided to built in Ammon rather than in IF. I doubt there is a cost advantage to building in Ammon now.

If anyone lived in Falls Water district will remember they tried to bump their rates up like this as well. They basically advertised a certain increase but if you did the math it was outrageous. We petitioned the PUC and got them to back off. I looked but it seems as municipalities are maybe exempt from the public utilities commision??

My first metered water bill was through the roof and I had barely turned my system on. I have heard that some older homes don't even have meters yet.

Residents were lied to and blindsided by this! I did not appreciate paying $600 to reconnect my sprinkler system to make room for the meter. I waived my metered rate for 1 year by accidentally finding that in the fine print. My neighbors had no idea that they could go unmetered for a year. This is robbery!!!!!
