Seriously ridiculous to have such a huge increase on our monthly bill. Thanks Ammon!

The city of Ammon has become a tax increase city. Even this water tax. Is a tax. Vote no on more schools. Taxes are too high and they don't care that they do it. Stop over charging us for living here. I think the city of Idaho falls should combine with Ammon, and boot all of these people out of office. And turn Ammon into Idaho Falls. Do away with Ammon all together!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our water bill has been almost TRIPLE over the past several months since the change happened. It is beyond ridiculous.

We need affordable water rates When California residents aren’t paying for each gallon and we are that’s ridiculous. We don’t have a water aquifer issue like they do. Quit charging us like we do. And to use these funds because you budgeted poorly on other issues is against the law.

Single person living on a fixed income can’t pay these high prices for water, will have to stop watering the grass, garden, flowers and move.

The rates are crazy. Feel like the city didn’t care and was just looking for a way for more taxes.

Come on, get a life, we won't have one if we have to pay this!.......

Lack of using surface water, no preparation for the future has led us to where people with a fixed income to pay more money than we can afford and effects the resale value of our property. This is outrageous and the person that made this decision should be held accountable. I, as the gentleman on the news said, who have attended the city council meetings, the Mayor did most of the talking and did not care to here what we said, therefore, I think we should also have a petition to impeach the MAYOR!

Metering to pay based on your personal consumption is generally a good practice. It is about the rates, which are not reasonable or economically sustainable.

The rate are ridiculously high. Not all Ammon residents are even metered.

My bill has gone up $100 a month just so I can keep my lawn green. Rediculous!

We need some change. I e cut my watering in half from last year and my bill is twice as much and my lawn is dead!

This is insane. This needs to be changed! I know we have been terrified to water our lawn because we can’t afford it! If we want to keep our community beautiful, make it affordable to water our lawns so it really can be kept beautiful.

When I first got metered I got my bill and from what the information in the laws stated said that it would be $30 and the first 7K of water would be included in the $30 when I called the city said that it was changed to $30 and a $1 per gallon used because some city residents said they would not use 7K of water. I have friends that have Falls Water and they tell me that they get 12K of water usage and a lesser fee per month and the a $1 per 1K use after that

Water rates should not cost me $100 a month. I am glad someone is trying to do something about this. My water rates of went up 5 times what they were. I am angered to hear that they are planning more cost increase.

I think conservation is needed, not sure if the high water prices are the answer.

These water rates are uncalled for and to hear that the city council implemented a harsher rate scheme when questioned is outrageous. Something must be done to protect the economic vitality of Ammon

I just dont see the purpose this. I know it brings extra money in for our city, but I dont see it going anywhere that matters to 90% of us. I actually think I am on of the small time water users and my bill has been around $140 a month. In the same year we did this my property taxes also went up $100 a month, this starts to add up pretty quick on the yearly bills. Let's change it back for the sake of the little guys!
