Change is needed. I support everything this petition stands for as well as all the wonderful athletes, coaches, volunteers, and parents that deserve better leadership from MYA.

Some coaches have been great to work with but organization and communication are not there. We are on a 14u baseball team currently and get games scheduled 3-4 days prior. Very frustrating.

I’m signing this as a parent of athletes at TK. I believe in transparency when it comes to board conduct and feel strongly that a lack of transparency only creates distrust and an unhealthy culture that negatively impacts not only the athletes but also the community and any other entities affiliated or presumed to be affiliated with the program. Boards are meant to govern on behalf of the stakeholders and when that mission fails, it impacts all who are relying on that governance. Unwillingness to provide parents with information pertaining to the program they fund is a conflict that must be swiftly resolved through an immediate change of leadership in order to avoid a complete destruction of the program as a whole.

I agree that change needs to happen! I don't agree that ALL the board members are the issue. I think a lot of them keep their mouths shut and don't speak up in fear off being kicked off the board. Hopefully some change happens!

I am very disappointed in the way that an error on your end was handled which resulted in one of our players being removed from our team.

Youth athletics are imperative to the future success of our district's programs. The number of families leaving MYA programs to join other districts is alarming. We are losing talented athletes and coaches. When you ask WHY? The families say poor communication, lack of transparency, limited or worn-down equipment, and in some cases general disrespect from board members. As a community, we need to mandate a change for organizational governance and require transparency at all levels, including financials.
