Petition for a pedestrian bridge over A23 near K2 & Thomas Bennett School

As a local with a family that like to walk to Tilgate Animal Park I always worry about that road. A bridge would make that journey a little safer.

So sad that someone has lost there life. I feel that this really needs to happen to prevent another such tragedy happening in the future.

My full support for a pedestrian crossing or bridge to be put in place one life is too many

Its such a fast road, and I have seen many a times kids risking crossing dangerously! This is the second death at the location.

Its a Shame it has taken someone dying for the council to stand up and pay attention

This road is so busy and the traffic lights just aren't enough. A bridge may prevent another tragic loss of life

I and my family have just lost a close friend unnecessary, and we are truly crushed. Our lives will never be the same, and it should not take a tragedy such as this (which is by no means the 1st) for the council to realise that something needs to be done. A son, a brother, an uncle and a true friend that touched so many lives has now been taken from us all. In his memory, I personally will be doing all that I can to ensure that another family does not have to be put through this devastating ordeal, and in his memory, this issue is finally addressed.

This should have been done last time there was a tragic incident

Should have been a bridge there when k2 was built as the underpass is no good floods in bad weather and people don't feel safe walking threw alone at night .

I walk to and from school across this road and a footbridge would make it a lot safer for the people of my school to get there

This is a brilliant idea that can put pedestrians at less risk whilst crossing this busy road. Especially with the school location close by.

I witness a man's death because of this. Something needs to be done ASAP.

Sadly This Happened Near My School And Some People Had To Witness The Tradgic Death Of A 30 Year Old Man! This Has Happened Twice! This Road Needs To Be Safer! For The Sake Of Children And Adults.

I used to go to thomas bennet and there use to be teachers watching you cross the road before you cross, there has been many accidents whiles I was at school.

how many more deaths of innocent people before you take action !

Please make this safe for everyone

How many lives must be lost before common sense prevails

I often cross this road and drivers approach way to fast. Bridge solves the problem perfect no disruption to traffic and safe place to cross :-)

There should have been a bridge built when K2 was built!

To many deaths along this road something needs to happen to many life's gone to soon
