Petition for a pedestrian bridge over A23 near K2 & Thomas Bennett School

Something needs to be done! Either barriers either sides of the road to stop anyone going near or a bridge or underpass! Lives shouldn't be lost in order for this to happen!

This is really needed!!!

This needs to be sorted & there needs to be safe places to cross, such a simple thing to correct

Great idea, but a footpath needs to be put in from the top of K2 hill too. The foot path leads to the road, stops and starts up again the other side at the top. They need to extend the path down the hill to the crossing and or a bridge by K2. Still see loads of T/B kids just crossing by the roundabout and not using the crossing or underpass, so even if you have a bridge built, they will still want to endanger themselves.

If it saves one life, it's money well spent. How long until the next person is killed? God forbid!

With such a busy area, you must take into account of the many children and families that have to cross the busy A23. How many more accidents and fatalaties before something is done

This would be money well spent to save lives.

This bridge is a a huge necessity. This isn't the first time..

I started this petition because this road has been a danger since the checkatrade stadium was initially built & K2 being built. Yes there are a set of pedestrian lights by the road entrance to K2, but that's not enough! There needs to be a footbridge because women & kids will not feel safe using underpasses, especially with the number of sexual assaults which have recently happened in the town. This area is abundantly a family oriented area as there's a school, a leisure complex & a football stadium in direct vicinity of the road. It's a tragedy for the families of the people who have died on this road that family clearly wasn't in mind when it comes to road safety. Cars often speed down here & even cut lights. 50mph is far too fast. The speed should be reduced as well as creating a safe crossing.

How many more deaths do we have to suffer before action is taken. ?

It's about time that something be done about this dangerous area. Please do something, no one wants another person to die. Please install a bridge so people can be safe.

Totally agree it should have been built the same time as k2
