We the undersigned taxpayers petition the Durant City Council to hire an independent investigative auditor to accomplish a forensic investigation audit of the City of Durant and its authorities.

All these big salaried managers and no one can keep a swimming pool open? Speaks for itself
Why is nothing being done about the swimming pool being closed. Those in positions of responsibility for this irresponsibility need to be terminated. I thought these new council people were going to be responsible.
This is a no brainer, especially for those new Councilmen. It is SOP to thoroughly audit everything when taking over.
Very true Carla. If there's nothing to hide then so be it. But let the taxpayers know every cent and every contract has been reviewed by independent eyes with no connections to Durant
we do need an outside audit ... if they are not in the wrong they have nothing to worry about.. but there is too much going wrong with this town for nothing to be wrong .. our taxes high for a town this big and nothing is being done ,,,, and then we are 8 million that are actually on books that we are in debt.. but what is actually the amount that is being hidden!!!
I tried to explain the pool being closed to my kids. My oldest child is 7 and she said they should be fired. How can grown adults elected as leaders do nothing?

There is nothing to do for our children in Durant and now with the pool closed it is really nothing for them to do with more free time on their hands.
