I’ve had a member of your staff quit before and pursue something more lucrative. It was construction. Ponder that.

UNH Class of 2012 - The majority of my classes at UNH were with Lecturers. They are an integral part of the faculty and community and I hope the university does right by them in a way that reflects the true worth.

UNH has come far in their struggle to maximize profit at the expense of knowledgeable, invested teachers. Lecturers have as much impact on student's education and trajectories as tenured faculty, and UNH's treating them as a commodity to be capitalized and discarded is disgraceful. Don't just sign this petition. Be sure not to donate to UNH until they correct this egregious behavior. They respect money above all else, so hit them where it hurts. Vote with your dollars.

UNH made $45 million last year, while the entire USNH system totaled $50 million. Do not let them tell you they don't have money to pay these highly qualified, experienced, and essential people what they are worth!!!

Lecturers deserve a fair contract! And if UNH truly aspires to excellence in preparing global citizens, it needs to retain-- not cut- lecturers who offer Japanese language instruction and courses on Asia as well as other world regions.

Do the right thing UNH. As a former Senior Lecturer of Chemical engineering and co-lead negotiator for UNHLU, I left UNH for another teaching faculty position with better job security and higher pay. If UNH cares about retaining high quality teachers for their students, it’s time to deliver on a fair contract for lectures. Thank you to students and alumni for supporting your faculty! Your voices matter!!

Please UNH! Don’t cut the Japanese program! People want to learn the Japanese language and it wouldn’t be fair for Japanese exchange students who are really enjoying their school year at UNH. The program may be small, but I have met some wonderful and kind people from Japan and I am very grateful to be friends with them. So please, don’t get rid of the program!

Lecturers are on the forefront of what should be the main mission of UNH, to educate the students. They deserve a fair contract, now!

I enjoyed my time at UNH, studied abroad, and found a good job right after I graduated because of Ikegami Sensei. I wouldn't have made it without her. There are many of her former students who have studied abroad, are working abroad, or are doing very well because of her classes. Her classes don't have the numbers UNH wants, but how can she fill the seats of higher level courses when there isn't even a Japanese minor available at the school? Screw quality go with quantity I guess

Some of my favourite instructor in UNH are lecturers. They deserve fair contracts and treatment.
