If student retention is a real priority, UNH should be eager to support the faculty who skillfully deliver so many of our students' classes and positively impact their experiences at UNH

UNH administrators have been anti- union since 1990. $600 K for external “budget” consultants & $400 K golden parachute for M. Huddleston; 0% for lecturers. Tells you all you need to know

Teaching education is the reason why we are here, do not let us waste our money going to this college for absolutely nothing. Do not dishonor us and our families for coming here and not allowing us to fulfill our dreams.

Lecturers need the security of knowing the university stands behind them and respects them. These are hard working individuals, many whom are still paying off student loans themselves and must take on second and third jobs to make a fair wage. Asking for a contract and fair compensation is really not asking too much -- it's called parity.

Three years is ridiculous, UNH. You are making money on the backs of these people and you need to step up to the plate and reward them fairly.

It is time to pay our hard working, valued Lecturers what they deserve. Students rely on their dedication and expertise and they should be granted a fair and generous contract.

I owe a great deal of my education at UNH to the fantastic lecturers in the English Department who always went above and beyond for their students. They ought to be able to make a decent living for the hard work they do, and have some security in their employment. Do the right thing, UNH.

Lecturers are the teaching backbone of UNH. That their collective bargaining requests have been dismissed and ignored by the administration is offensive and wrong. You are all remarkable and resilient. Thank-you for the life that you breathe into the UNH community.

Education has gone the way of health care in this country. The direct providers--the people who actually know the field--are being paid less and less, and being shut out of crucial decision-making. We are not going to survive as a public university, or as a society, if this pattern continues.

Do the right thing and take care of the people that make UNH a great place to get a education.

Contracts that compensate people fairly for their work are essential for a good educational institution otherwise we are teaching our young adults that it is ok to take advantage of people. Let's teach them that work is valued and have good labor practices at our schools and universities.
