As a UNH alum and public school teacher, I am mortified to hear UNH is not supporting lecturers with a fair contract. Fair wages now.

Not settling fair contracts with lecturers is beneath the office of the president of UNH and a stain upon the reputation of UNH. What lesson is UNH teaching by such disrespectful treatment of Lecturers United.

Lecturers are the backbone of this university and supporting them is the only ethical and moral choice. it is also the only smart business decision since the reputation of UNH as an academic institution is largely maintained by the huge range of classes they teach and the opportunities they provide for other faculty to engage in research.

The UNH lecturers deserve a contract concluded in a timely and fair fashion.

Stop exploiting workers. Universities know better; shame on you.

It is ridiculous that this has gone on for so long, especially at a time when UNH touts student retention as a major goal. Lecturers have disproportionate contact with our students. They bring abundant experience and commitment to everything they do. It is a disgrace that the administration will not recognize the value our lecturer colleagues bring by settling a fair contract.

Teaching staff are essential to the university. It is appalling that they are not being compensated enough to meet the cost of living.

Do the right thing. Come to an agreement and pay these folks a fair wage.

Every university owes its teaching staff fair compensation including annual increases at or above the cost of living, and affordable, quality healthcare.

Our lecturers are excellent teachers who go the extra mile for their students and incredibly generous colleagues. They deserve to be treated and paid fairly for all that they do for the university and its students.

We have so many fantastic, hard-working lecturers at UNH. They are dedicated to their students, their fields, and their departments -- and they deserve fair wages and a fair contract.

Our lecturer faculty members are invaluable as instructors and colleagues. They deserve a contract.

As a Lecturer at UNH working without a contract for 3 years now, I can say we feel demoralized and undervalued. Support us so we can be the best educators our students deserve.

Lecturer teaching is at the core of the curriculum in many departments due to decisions made by the University. Freezing lecturer salaries for three years is unconscionable. UNH needs to settle the Lecturers United contract.
