We, the undersigned students of 6th Year, respectfully request the establishment of a dedicated lounge space for our year group, ideally to be located in Room 19.
As the senior students of the school, we face increased academic pressure and responsibilities, including preparation for final exams, college applications, and leadership roles within the school community. A designated lounge in Room 19 would provide:
- A place to relax and recharge during breaks, reducing stress and improving wellbeing.
- A year-group hub where 6th Year students can gather, collaborate, and build community.
We understand that we already have access to the outdoor courtyard area. However, during rainy days and cold weather this is not ideal. In addition, having access to Room 19 would help ease congestion in the canteen, creating more space for 1st and 2nd Years.
We also fully recognize that this privilege comes with responsibility. We are prepared to sign a contract agreeing that:
- Room 19 will be kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Any damage or misuse of the space will be taken seriously.
- If the terms of the agreement are broken, the lounge may be removed from our use.
We believe this arrangement will ensure the space is respected and maintained, while giving 6th Year students a much-needed area to support both our academic success and wellbeing.

The canteen is a nightmare at lunch we need somewhere to actually sit down
makes total sense for 6th years to have a spot to study together
room 19 is basically empty half the time anyway so why not use it
It is too packed out in the court yard and if it rains we have to be stuck in the canteen with first and second years and theres no space as it is, so this additional space for 6th years would be good and we along as everyone else would benefit from it
i think it would be really beneficial not just for 2025/2026 6th years but for upcoming 6th years aswell
