A stop sign at Willow and Beach would be good. It's tricky to get out of Willow.

We have lived on Beach Ave for 10 years. I agree with Anonymous that the crosswalk on Oak is ineffective. Maybe 1 out of 20 cars stop for you if you want to cross there. It never made sense to me that the crosswalk and stop sign are a block apart. Wouldn't it be more effective to have the stop sign and crosswalk be at the same location? Please consider this option.
There used to be another crosswalk on Beach & Hazel which was removed because it was in an unsafe spot (A driveway backed onto the crosswalk). It was never replaced on another block and there should be others on Beach Ave.

I just moved to the manor and live on the corner of Beach and Jochum. People are speeding by the time the get to my corner which is the first corner on Beach Ave coming from Boston Post. When you are turning left onto Beach from Jochum, you cannot see oncoming cars until you are half way into the road. My hedges are within code but the grade of Jochum slopes downward towards Kane hindering the view more. A simple stop sign at the corner will slow traffic a they enter Beach from Boston Post and allow the safe turning of cars from Jochum. I would welcome any addition safety precautions to keep us and our families safe.

I would think a stop sign at Beach and Chestnut (3rd street up from BPR, 3rd street down from Woodbine) could be an option. Also, it would help motorists turning left (north) onto Beach from Chestnut avoid what is now a bit of a blind turn.

Thank you for starting this petition! With the amount of children that live on or around Beach Ave I am SHOCKED that the village hasn’t already done this. And the teenage drivers LOVE to just speed down Beach without noticing the “slow down children playing” signs that the families have put out... THANK YOU!!!

The stop sign at Woodbine needs to be patrolled more. Someone is going to get hit on a bike.

I agree with many of the comments above. A few more stop signs and a couple of crosswalks would do wonders to slow traffic and improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists and motorists!

I think additional stop signs would help as I have observed speeding Beach ave. Also foliage on the corners of maple and willow make it impossible to see oncoming cars so you have to pull out halfway into Beach to see the cars which us dangerous.

I greatly advocate a reduction of speed limit on Beach Ave. People seem to floor it on this road; we routinely have trucks, cars and school buses (!) going 40 mph or faster in an area that should be 25 mph

Please consider a stop sign on the corner of Willow and Beach. The visibility is terrible and my son and a babysitter were in an accident on that corner.

I support efforts to reduce speeding on Beach Ave, including adding more stop signs. Many kids an families use Beach, including for biking, so if we can rely on means other than speed bumps, great

I definitely think there needs to be consistency in the use of stop signs in the Manor. There have been many accidents on the corner of my street (Magnolia and Grove) with cars ending up on the lawn and some serious issues given nobody understands who has a stop sign along Grove and other streets in the Manor. Thank you.

I support all efforts to slow traffic on beach avenue. There are low visibility spots and heavy car and bike traffic.

Great idea! I think adding a cross walk on Magnolia & Beach avenue would be great as well. There is no cross walk on Beach Ave in the lower end of the manor after the one on Oak Avenue.
And I think we could use another one on Larchmont Avenue as well.
