*This is a counter-petition against the students and parents in support of the current petition for the extension of Winter Break.*

Naturally, it is understandable that students desire time off from classroom settings and the rigors of school. However, the length proposed for this year's Winter Break is a heinous insult to the ideals of our founding fathers; those of hard work and perseverance. We should resume education the day after Christmas, this will ensure all of us ending our year on a good note.We already get enough days off during summer, not to mention Thanksgiving and Spring break, snow days, and various holidays.
