This will cause multiple issues with my children travelling to school and college and myself getting to work as we all rely on buses

This is a small community. The effect on their quality of life would be intolerable. Please look at phased works to minimise disruption.

This definitely needs to be looked at and suited to the requirements of the community and the landscape.

Surely the road can be worked on one lane at a time? Monkshill cannot cope with any extra traffic and has gridlocked every day during past road closures.

Please put the locals first rather than others, Monkshill Road has drivers racing through to get around these issues, it happens every single weekend in the summer and whenever there is a problem on the Thanet way, it’s a single lane road, it doesn’t have many places to pass by when needed and some of those are obstructed by rocks, it’s very dangerous, please reconsider, at least manage it so that it can people can get through, traffic lights a total closure is too much and for too long, necessary works maybe but you could make it easier if you choose to.

There is. I reason why this cannot be managed in stages with temporary traffic lights. Anything else is lazy, inconsiderate and incompetent.

affects two school runs into Faversham and canterbury. Wife runs business from home and will lose business as a result. Monks Hill diversion is unsuitable and unsafe due to the volume of traffic due to Graveney primary school. , local businesses and Farming heavy vehicles.

Please do not cause any more traffic problems in the village. We have been blighted by London Array and the Cleve Hill Solar farm for far too long. Please treat us with some sensitivity and phase your work.

The proposed road closure will stop many elderly residents, who do not drive, from getting out for nine weeks!! They are not able to walk to the previous bus stop to catch the bus before it diverts down Monkshill Road. A lot of thought needs to be given to this situation.
It will also take much longer for the emergency services to access the village.
Thank you.

This is absolutely ridiculous-a danger to everyone in the village and totally mis managed.

A total road block is totally unacceptable for residents that still need to go shopping and attend medical appointments. I am being treated for pancreatic cancer - how do I visit the hospital in Canterbury ?

This road closure is not needed when traffic systems could be in place
