I work in Waterham and drop my child of in hernhill, so am a frequent user of Monkshill road on a daily basis.
It only requires a small increase in traffice, to bottle neck at known passing points, causing complete grid lock.
I have witnessed damages to cars, cars stationary on the crossing. etc, total carange springs to mind.
This is without HGV;s using the road.
To get to work i will be leaving prior to 6am to beat any sort of conjestion, My partner will be then challenge the carnage and take my daughter to nursery on here electric bike. I do not feel this is safe..
What are your thoughts.
I relise there is a need for ensentail upgrades, however there needs to be further management. Night working ? Partial closures ? a way to limit traffic to esentail movements ?

The closures will cause chaos to our villages.
The A2 has frequent accidents, closing our villages for access to schools, getting to work, hospital treatment.

Previous Closures have caused long delays getting staff and equipment to and from our premises. The alternative routes are not suitable for towing trailers when it is busy.

Given the massive disruption we have seen as a village, this can mot go on. Find another solution, think outside the box.

Limited alternative routes to the village school so will cause traffic chaos and prevent people (myself included) from fulfilling contracted hours of employment elsewhere! Will cause such misery and increased time in cars.

Not only would this mean a huge diversion. It would mean extra late for work and picking up second child aswell.
