They just can’t stop life for residents! They’ve done enough damage as it is.

Will cause excess traffic leading into to fav and whitstable which are already busy as it is and people need another access route in case of accidents elsewhere

Doesn’t need closing

It’s critical that local residents can access their properties and their work without going on a wild goose chase many miles away to re-enter the opposite end of the village. Please use traffic lights in common sense rather than closing the road for nine weeks.

How will fire engines and ambulances get through? How will disabled children get school transport?

Ridiculous, are the council going to pay the petrol for the extra miles to go to work every day? Half hour more time to get there. Just bloody sick of all the road closures everywhere. The traffic will be an absolute nightmare!

This is simply not acceptable to leave so many people some of which are vulnerable without vital services and adequate access, let alone if an emergency occurred.

Last time this road was closed it took me 2hrs to get to work (usually 20 mins) due to the increased traffic, im disabled and this will likely result in me missing days of work due to the impact the increased driving will have on my health

The effect on the local community is untenable. It must be rethought through for collaboratiive views on both sides.

This road closure is unreasonable and unacceptable and will call major disruption to all surrounding residents. I oppose the closure of this road

Too often the Utility Companies choose total closure over managing traffic Yes it's more expensive to hire traffic lights and provide escort vehicles to control traffic speeds BUT communities need to be respected by big business and The Local Highways Authority need to show some concern for the problems this type of action creates.
