Division of Volta not needed. If necessary at all, Ashanti region should be divided first for us to see the level of development it'll bring. We don't need it.

I personally see no reason for the splitting of my Region. They claim for development, when was Upper West created and when did they receive a regional hospital.?? If it's for decentralisation process then he should hold on, move the capital of Ghana to Bring Ahafo before splitting my Homeland.

Geographic and demographic dispersion of Volta Region is not bigger than that of Ashanti region. Volta region is not far from the capital city than Ashanti region yet development finds its way to Ashanti but not Volta. Volta doesn't need division before develop. If they divide Ashanti finished we can think of Volta. This is gerrymandering. Voltarians are beyond this. Akpalu akpa, Akpalu gorgôr du tor, wò fo bibia na wo viwo, eye wo do gorgôr dzia wo be Akpalu Ne Va dui.

We need a national development plan that uplifts the fortunes of the entire nation not the balkanisation of the country.

Splitting the Volta Region will mean creating fragmented communities and I don't see how this will bring about development. We will resist it massively.

Divided we fall, we must stay as one unit.

Forcing further divisions amongst our peoples especially where the criteria for situation derives its basis from tribal antecedents is a step in the wrong direction. Focus on developing Ghana and Ghanaians not tribes and ethnic groups.
