Please reconsider your decision as Dale was such a lovely young man with so much potential ahead of him. The no 1,jersey was retired in his honour & the high asteem in which we all held him. Please reconsider. Thank you.

Playing with a #1 shirt does nothing to help the league, but retiring a shirt means a great deal to the club and the family. The club promised to retire Dale's shirt in loving memory, and there is no reason that the league should force us to break our promise for purely bureaucratic reasons.
