R&d fc, are formally a football league club who were within their right to retire the shirt number. Although the club is reborn in another carnation, it is common knowledge that to the supporters this is the same club. And as football is a sport, compassion and understanding should be show particularly at grass roots level. This decision would have no baring on a game. But more on an emotional level.
