The number 1 shirt was retired as a mark of respect. Lets hope that the Southern league can show some respect also and change this ludicrous decision.

A York City fan who visited R & D a few times in our conference days. I Remember Dale & he was a top keeper & lad. the league shouldn't deny how the club respect him & his memory.

As a staunch Cobblers fan who has a healthy dislike for R&D, I find this type of beuracray unbelievable. As a mark of respect allowances must be made to change the number on the keepers shirt.
I do hope that common sense prevails. .

Players that play in teams with squad numbers can wear any number that takes there fancy (mario b for example) but yet in a league where numbering is restricted this sort of thing happens! Im not even an r+d supporter but this is a discrace!
