If any other club in the country can "retire" any other number (West Ham 6, Man City 17 etc) then surely Rushden are well within their rights for the memory of their former goalkeeper! Good luck AFC R&D

Disgraceful decision which I hope is overturned. 'Tradition', or whatever the supposed logic is behind the decision shouldn't come into it. Especially when the number has been retired out of sentimentality and respect.
