When a death occurs in football, The who club is humbled, fans and players alike go into mourning for a friend and an Idol, and they should be able to pay tribute to that person however they like, There is no law that says a number one must be assigned. Please to not force this club to name a number one.

A rule for the sake of rules, and serves little purpose. The club should get a member of Dale's family to start the first game in goal, and then substitute the player straight away.

My brother played for r&d youth squad in 2010 and I remember hearing of Dale's passing. It hit everyone in the club and my family still sometimes speak of it now. For the club not to be allowed to honour him in the way they see fit (and have done for these past years) is ridiculous.
This is a simple ruling that if agreed to, would not bring harm to anyone. Yet if not agreed to, this could bring devastation to a family and a club.
I hope the League see sense and allowed Rushden to continue to honour Dale their way
